INTERIOR DESIGN WORK
Below are select images from projects that Violette designed from scratch.
Some projects were built, some remain in the conceptual phase.
In both cases, Violette designed the interior architecture and interior design, unique for each of the brands, spas, hotels, and residences.
WHILE THESE PROJECTS REFLECT HER PREVIOUS CLIENT’S STYLES,
Violette teaches her students
how to design in any aesthetic style
& to develop their own style.
The qualities exemplified in Violette’s interior design projects extend to her teaching style:
attention to detail, infusion of care, inspiring well-being for all beings.
VIOLETTE’S JOURNEY
If you asked my younger self:
"what will be your path to creating INTUITION & INTERIORS ?"
she could never have imagined...BEHIND THE SCENES
〰️
STORY TIME
〰️
BEHIND THE SCENES 〰️ STORY TIME 〰️
IT WAS TWISTY TURN-Y
AS ALL OF our LIFE PATHS ARE
On paper, it looked “on the up and up”. I had graduated from a liberal arts university, worked in marketing, product management, and website design.
However, inside I was left feeling numb and purposeless. I was blindly chasing achievement without being grounded in meaning.
My mental health and soul health needed something more.
In 2015, I made a leap and left my desk job to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design. Looking back, this was a necessary step in learning design and drawing techniques.
I knew I needed to make a life shift.
but I was unsure of my place within the art world at first. IT TOOK A NUMBER OF YEARS OF SELF-REFLECTION BEFORE I FINALLY REALIZED:
as a child, I had always loved designing interior worlds.
It took a number of years exploring different art disciplines, and doing deep inner work, and self reflection, before I finally realized,
Drawing, building, envisioning spaces lit me up.
I loved creating pillow forts, The Sims computer mansions, exploring friends homes, rearranging my room.
Anything where I could imagine spaces and life within them. I was fascinated with how the design of an interior space affected how people felt inside of themselves.
LIGHTBULB MOMENT
Interior design was calling to me.
So I went to graduate school to learn the nitty-grittyI applied and went to graduate school to learn the technical details of interior architecture and interior design. I loved every moment of it. The small class sizes and close student-teacher relationships.
Following school, I started my own firm, designing interiors for residential and hospitality clients,
But something felt slightly amiss...I had realized my interests, my talents, but not my calling, my purpose in life.My heart ached to help more people. On a deeper level. My intuition was nudging me to go beneath the surface of aesthetics.
As counter intuitive as it felt,
I knew in my gut that I needed to pause from working
in order to pull back and gain insight.
How did I want to be living my life?
The mindset of: hustle, push harder, chase achievement had left me depleted.
I wanted to help
more people in more profound ways.
I took a year long sabbatical to discover:
What did I truly value? Something (my intuition!) told me that the ethos of
~ move slower, find your flow, just be ~
would nourish my spirit and forever change my life.
FIND YOUR FLOWSLOW DOWNallow yourself to
JUST BEI started to see the beauty
that was all around me.
Slowing down allows us to sense:Sense the things around us. Sense the things we need.
(How cool that both forms of “sensing” are key to designing interiors.)
Feeling invisible, intuitive waves of guidance, I followed what I was naturally drawn to: I spent time in nature, meditating, reigniting my senses, reconnecting with people,
learning to rest, to find my innate creative spark, and to let go. Everything we need is already inside.
I redesigned my interior, inspired by my soulFrom this place of soul-alignment, I redesigned the interior of my apartment and experienced the first-hand effects of living in a space that is self-sourced:
inspired by your soul, brought to life by your mind and body.
Through a process of accepting and embracing my true self, and learning to trust myself,
my life started to transform and open up. My interior was a launchpad for my life.through that process of tapping into my intuition, my purpose became clear. OUR INTUITION KNOWS THE WAY:
It is: help others
experience the freedom, self-empowerment, peace, and bliss that can come from designing their own spaces. It is: teach people how to reflect on:
what it is we truly desire,
and how we want to feel … and then
design spaces to support those feelings.(This photo is from the day I began putting together this course: a creation from my interior to yours: from my heart to yours.)
I DISCOVERED HOW TO FEEL
THE BEAUTY THAT HAD
ALWAYS been there.
Inside of me & ALL Around me.
I just couldn’t feel it before.
Now I can. SO CAN YOU.
reawaken Your
innate CREATIVITY
&
REACQUAINT WITH YOUR INTUITION.
I can’t wait to share with you the practices that I have developed for these courses.
The practices that opened up my senses, fostered my creativity, and EXPANDED MY joy of life.
I Teach YOU:
Not “ what to design”.
BUT, “HOW to design".
So YOU can experience
YOUR OWN POWER
AS YOU DESIGN YOUR OWN SPACES.
“When we feel nourished and supported,
that positive energy pours out
into the rest of our lives.”
YOU KNOW YOU,
BEST.
No one else can design your space like you can,
like you have the potential to, when you learn to feel and follow your design intuition." When we feel self-expressed, self-loved, self-confident because of the interiors that we design, we change how we interact with the world. "
